April 16, 2007, a shooting spree took place on the campus of Virginia Tech University, leading to the deadliest shooting rampage in U.S. history.

The gunman, armed with two pistols, killed two people in a dorm room and then went to another building on campus to kill more than two dozen more before turning the gun on himself.
